Todd Fasulo retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in early 2018 and began working for Wynn Resorts as Vice President of Security and Crisis Management. He is responsible for the development and implementation of Crisis Management planning and response, manages the daily operations of a large multidisciplinary security force, and serves as a liaison to state and local law enforcement.
Todd was appointed to Assistant Sheriff with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on December 13, 2014. He has over 31 years of law enforcement experience to include the FBI, US Army and the LVMPD. He currently oversees two divisions, Detention Services and Professional Standards. The Detention Services Division is responsible for the operations of the Clark County Detention Center and the North Valley Complex. The Professional Standards Division handles the intricate mechanisms of the department; training, policies & procedures, internal affairs, labor and department projects. All of these areas are necessary to keep pace with the ever-changing profession of policing. In all, Assistant Sheriff Fasulo oversees over 1475 employees.
At the time of his appointment, Assistant Sheriff Fasulo was given command of three divisions, one of which is still in his command; Detention Services Division. The other two were Community Policing Division, responsible for six area commands throughout the Las Vegas Valley; and Tourist Safety Division which consists of five bureaus responsible for those areas that are heavily concentrated with tourists, i.e. Las Vegas Strip corridor.
He has held numerous assignments within LVMPD to include: Deputy Chief of Detention Services Division, Captain of Convention Center Area Command, Acting Captain of the Support Operations Bureau, Executive Lieutenant in the Patrol Division, Lieutenant in Internal Affairs Bureau, Downtown Area Command and Bolden Area Comm and Sergeant in the K9 Section, Internal Affairs Bureau and Patrol. As a Detective, he worked in the Gang Unit and as a Patrol Officer, he held a position on the Patrol Academy Training Staff, was a Field Training Officer as well as a Patrol Officer at the Northwest, Southwest, and Southeast Area Commands. Todd has also served as the chairman of the Pre-Termination Board and has served on the Critical Incident Review Panel.
Todd has consulted and taught on various policing topics at over 60 police departments in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the US Virgin Islands. He has been a guest speaker on current best practices in policing and specifically misconduct, internal affairs and officer use of force issues. In 2007 he graduated the Northwestern University Police Command and Staff School and has also attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Columbia Southern University.
