For the men and women that we serve, one of the key components to their success is the ability to develop a sustainable career that allows them to support themselves and their loved ones. One of the ways that HFP is able to assist each client with a start to earning a livable wage is to provide them with the opportunity to complete vocational training and develop skills that will translate into employment.

EDDIE LOYA
A Key Player in HFP’s Success
Eddie Loya is a special part of the HFP story. With over 30 years of experience in helping formerly incarcerated individuals to seek and obtain work, we were privileged to know and learn from Eddie very early on as HFP we were just starting to build the HFP organization. It was Eddie who helped HFP to develop lasting relationships with some of our very first second chance employers and served as the liaison between HFP and the State of Nevada, Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation during his many years in state government. Prior to his retirement in 2019, HFP was blessed to have him on staff as our lead Workforce Development Specialist for several years. It is not a stretch to say that without Eddie Loya and his early belief in the HFP program, we may not have experienced the successful outcomes that we have today.
