Our Mission
At HOPE for Prisoners, our mission is to empower formerly incarcerated individuals through support, training, and opportunity. Our client journey is designed to meet people where they are, provide structure and guidance, and walk alongside them as they rebuild their lives with purpose. Here’s what the journey looks like from start to full-circle leadership:

Intake Process
Now Available Online
Your journey starts with a simple but important step: the application. Clients can now apply online through our secure portal—no need to come into the office or fill out paper forms. This online intake ensures quicker onboarding and allows our team to begin supporting you right away. Once submitted, our staff reviews your information and follows up with next steps.

Orientation
After your intake is complete, you'll be invited to a mandatory orientation session. Held monthly, this in-person session is designed to introduce you to the HOPE for Prisoners program—what we stand for, what we offer, and what we expect from each client. You’ll hear from program leaders, peers, and mentors who will set the tone for your journey forward.

Assessments
Next, you’ll complete a series of assessments to help us understand your needs, goals, and readiness. This step includes a detailed intake interview, goal-setting conversations, and clarification of expectations. Upon completing your assessment, you'll be officially enrolled in the program and ready for the next phase of development.

You’re
A Graduate!
But the Journey Continues
Upon completion of the workshop, you become a graduate—not out of the program, but into the deeper support we offer. This milestone marks the beginning of your integration into our full ecosystem of services. You’ll be assigned a mentor and a case manager, both of whom will work closely with you as you begin your job search and continued education.

Job Searches
We walk with you every step of the way as you search for employment. You’ll be matched with quality employers who are aligned with your goals and experience. Your case manager will assist in developing a custom case plan, polishing your résumé, preparing for interviews, and ensuring you’re positioned for long-term stability in the workforce.

Continuing
Education
Beyond employment, we offer robust opportunities for personal and professional development. This includes parenting classes, support groups, community service opportunities, financial literacy, and other life-skills workshops. Our goal is to help you build a strong foundation—not just for work, but for life.

Volunteer &
Leadership
Opportunities
As you grow in confidence and stability, we invite you to give back. You can volunteer your time and talents at organizations of your choice, or take part in specialized leadership courses facilitated by HOPE. These opportunities allow you to step into a leadership role and serve as a model of what’s possible.

Paying It Forward
The final step in the HOPE journey is mentor training. This is your opportunity to come full circle. As a mentor, you’ll guide the next generation of clients through the same journey you once walked. You’ll share your experience, offer wisdom, and serve as a living example of resilience and redemption.
