Hope for Prisoners is proud to announce that District Attorney Steve Wolfson has been unanimously elected to serve on our Board of Directors.

“Having Mr. Wolfson join our Board of Directors is yet another example of how Hope for Prisoners has integrated into our community and is making a positive impact on the relationship between law enforcement and people re-entering society after their release from prison,” said Jon Ponder, CEO and Founder of Hope for Prisoners.  “Mr. Wolfson has been a supporter of our program for many years, and we are honored that he will now be a part of guiding our organization to even greater success.”

“I believe in Hope for Prisoners and its mission, and I am honored to now be a member of the Board of Directors,” said Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson.  “This program has tremendous support and respect, as do all of the men and women who participate in it after their release.  Changing the perception and treatment of people who have been previously incarcerated is critical to their success after prison.  It takes hard work and dedication, and I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and doing what I can to help.”

Hope for Prisoners assists with re-entry into the community by providing formerly incarcerated people long-term support services as they work to reclaim their lives, families, and standing in the community.  Hope for Prisoners provides its clients with job training, financial and life-skills training, mentorship, and counseling.  Hope for Prisoners has gained national recognition for its effectiveness and is being used as a model for other programs across the country.
